The very beautiful and all time favourite fashionista from B-Town has been extremely busy of late promoting her upcoming film Raanjhanaa alongside South star Dhanush, and what a busy time period it has been for these two fabulous co-stars! We all know that Sonam's character as Zoya in the film is portrayed as someone who is spared of makeup, glamour and all things that evoke fashion! However, when it comes to the promotional events Sonam has left no tables unturned and has dressed stylistically to her hearts content from promotional events across Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai!
There is no denying that this young lady knows the in's and out's of fashion and seeing her in a range of traditional Desi designer avatars, she knows how to look just as chic and authentically Indian! Here are my favourites below...
It's so simple and bare minimalistic but the perfectly fitted white suit is definitely one of my favourites! As you may know already, the very famous Kolkata based fashion designer Anamika Khanna remains one of Sonam's favourites and is a label she has endorsed on many occasions. Many of Anamika's design are all about playing with the fabric as opposed to intricate detail, yet each and every outfit from a gagra-choli to a suit oozes so much panache and elegance! Adding a simple pair of earrings and keeping her tresses neatly tamed and loose pulls her whole promotional look together perfectly!

On this very occasion, both the stars were dressed to impress in true South Indian style, in which Dhanush chose to sport a traditional lungi and Sonam opted to wear a beautifully crafted ethnic Kancheevaram sari. I love the cute little bag she is holding too, and think despite wearing the simplest/most basic of sari's Sonam still looks like a millions bucks! With the perfectly winged eyeliner, traditional jasmine flowers to the tied up hair and delicate jhumka's, Sonam knows how to rock the South Indian look so gracefully!

I absolutely adore this sari by one of my favourite Indian designers Shehla Khan and think this is a truly breathtaking image of Sonam too! Everything from the colours, stylish blouse and floral net design is fabulous, and just like many other Shehla Khan designs this has become one of my recent favourites! I love the fact that nothing is over done with her makeup or jewellery and that's what makes her look so self-complete! Sari's are by far one of the most elegant Desi outfits, and Sonam Kapoor looks totally worth it throughout the promotional events in Delhi!

The colour that has the potential to brighten up almost anyone's day is working wonders on Sonam, and opting to wear a beautiful Anarkali for the promotions in Lucknow was definitely a fine choice. Ritu Kumar is a well established designer who has showed off her fabulous ethnic designs across many popular fashion ramps. Her designs show off the best Indian textiles representing the culture and heritage of the beautiful country, and we can see just that being portrayed through this particular outfit. Sonam completes this look perfectly with a neat clean bun, bindi to the forehead and simple Indian flats!
These are the best of the best traditional outfits that caught my attention, which caught yours? Are there any other designers outfits that looked gorgeous?!
For now...I'm excited to watch Raanjhanaa!
Love fashion! Love Bollywood!
