Bollywood B'days- Comic Dude Abhishek Bachchan

He's the son of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and married to the most beautiful woman in the world, Aishwarya Rai. Yes, it the one and only Abhishek Bachchan's birthday today, and as he turns another year older I share with you why this man is 'one funny dude'! So his acted in a negative role for Raavan, ever so serious in Dhoom, and performed mind blowingly in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, however, his comic roles played in three particular films have been second to none, and here I share with you the favoruite roles of Abhishek that will always give audiences something to smile or even laugh about...

1. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007)

Abhishek's role in a desi avatar of Rikki Thukral gave viewers worldwide alot to laugh about. From his facial expressions, to his dance moves in the song 'Ticket to Hollywood', Rikki was a character that Abhishek bough alot of flavour and fun to. Whilst the story in itself revolved around the characters falling in love for one another, I do think Abhishek played one of the most interesting and charismatic roles!

2. Dostana (2008)

Playing the role of a homosexual guy ever so convincingly was an exceptional performance by Abhishek! He did a tremendous job, and I love the fact he gave a comic feel to his character that engaged audiences further. From the scene of where he is ball-room dancing with John, running around frantically like a lady in despair and to the very sensual facial expressions, everything was enacted fantastically and so hilariously!

3. Bol Bachchan (2012)

His most recent of comic roles that he has been deservingly awarded for at many Hindi film award functions, is for Bol Bachchan. Abhishek plays the role of two different entities, and whilst it's the same man throughout, he plays the two characters ever so differently from one another. His comic timing in various scenes, particularly when he has a number of mothers flowing in at once and adopts each one of them as different mothers- gave me at least something to laugh about!

Three very different films and three very different comic roles played out, and still,  we can't get enough of Abhishek playing the 'funny guy' act! Right now, his probably the only major actor who is well-known for his comic roles, and it's great to see an actor that is more versatile and laudable for his satirical jokes!

On his special day, I only have one thing to say to this fine actor...keep doing what you do best, and spread smiles of joy and happiness to more and more people, because you are the nations favourite comic dude! Happy Birthday AB!
