Five leading Bollywood actresses strutted down last night’s Life OK Screen Awards in their favourite outfits. But which of them really stood out from the rest? I expose all.

1. Alia Bhatt: Unflattering tendencies
After wowing us all in her royal blue dress at the Star Awards 2015, Alia didn’t live up to the same expectations at this event. While she bagged the Female Hero of the Year award, she definitely hasn’t bagged any fashion accolades for this outfit. Designed by Prabal Gurung, Alia was unable to pull-off the much desired sensual look. And those rather distracting sandals didn’t help either.

2. Jacqueline Fernandez: Conflicting pleats
Kick’s lead star actress, Jacqueline Fernandez, surprised us all as she arrived at this years Screen Awards in a rather unusual and whacky dress. The distracting and equally unflattering pleats acting as a bustier definitely ruined the overall outfit. While I appreciate her attitude to wearing something different – it’s definitely not a dress for the red carpet! Designed by Giorgio Armani, I don't think this dress worked in her favour at all.

3. Shraddha Kapoor: Scarlett elegance
Shraddha is clearly a fan of donning the colour red when making appearances at award functions, the only let down about this dress is the unfavourable design. While the strapless style of outfit suits her really well, I’m not a fan of the fabrics combined, as the sheer white fabric through the red chiffon fabric fail to complement each other. Her hair and makeup, however, is on point in this picture, and is tied together well with a pair of simple earrings.

4. Deepika Padukone: Traditional charisma
It was a refreshing change to see Deepika Padukone, the nation’s number one Entertainer of the Year, in a traditional desi avatar. After having appeared on numerous red carpets in an urbane gown, Deepika walked out on this red carpet in a black and gold embroidered sari, designed by Jade. I’m not too sure about the elephant motifs depicted along the border of the fabric, but choosing black to wear was definitely a safe choice.

5. Priyanka Chopra: Vintage magnetism
Priyanka Chopra, the diva who bagged the best actress award for her role in Mary Kom dazzled the red carpet last night in very classy and sophisticated gown, designed by Guari and Nainika. The silhouette style dress hugs around Priyanka’s curves so fluidly, and she carries off the neutral shade incredibly well. Adding to the sophisticated look Priyanka opted for a vintage hairstyle that tied the classic look together beautifully. Way to go, Priyanka!
