With just a week left till the release of Abbas Mustan's sequel Race 2, a great deal of excitement is increasingly building! Before making assumptions about how well the film will do, one thing we can evaluate is how well the music of the film will do! Does the music of the film encourage you to watch the film? 1. Be Intehaan - Vocals of Atif Aslam and Sunidhi Chauhan
It's a soft romantic melodious track put together by music director Pritam. It's lyrically salient and pulls perfectly at your heart strings if your in the romantic mood too! Both Atif and Sunidhi have sung beautifully, and it definitely takes you back to Atif's mesmerising voice in the first Race movie song- Pelhi Nazar Mein. It's worth listening to a couple of times, but I have to admit, it's not one of the most favourable romantic songs to kick-start the year with.

2. Party on my Mind - Vocals of Honey Singh, K.K and Shefali Alvares
In the mood to dance, party or any other cause for celebration? Then this track will surely go down well for the next couple of months! It's young, catchy, and ever so peppy, which is why I think most of the youth will warm towards it without fail. If you love urban flavour club music, western beats and the vocals of Honey Singh then this a song worth watching out for!

3. Lat lag Gaye - Vocals of Benny Dayal and Shalmali Kholgade
From watching the clip of this song, I almost get taken back in time to the vision of Katrina Kaif in the song Zara Zara, yet then I hear the track, and realise it's nothing like that at all! It's not a fantastic composition, and I don't quite think Shalmali's voice does justice to this particular song. It's one you either like, or you either hate, has some catchy elements, but definitely not an amazing track!

4. Allah Duhai Hai - Vocals of Vishal Dadlani, Atif Aslam, Anushka Manchanda, Michie One and Ritu Pathak
With an abundance of singers in the new instalment of Allah Duhai Hai, it's probably the best song of the whole album. Of course, it's not incredibly different to the original, but it does get you into the mood and spirit to watch this film! The vocals of Vishal Dadlani did great justice to this song, and he definitely brings everyone else's voices together too!

Whilst majority of the songs are merely average, and only one or two songs truly lives up the expectations, the music of the film overall is somewhat of a creative let-down. This is not to say the album is outrageously poor, however, considering the music from the first Race was a musical treat, the sequel's album was unable to compete with the high standards that they originally set out. Although the album maybe comparatively weak, there's still hope that the film will be a worthwhile watch!
