Zee Cine Awards- The fashion hits and misses!

It was a night filled with glitz and glam, as many Bollywood celebrities made their way to the official Zee Cine Awards 2013! The red carpet was laid, and one by one celebrities were seen entering the Yash Raj Studios in which the awards took place. The paparazzi (as always) snapped away pics of who made it to the celebratory award function, and fashion enthusiasts like myself got to judge who looked hot and those not so hot...

The Hits...

Sridevi looked absolutely stunning in a traditional Sabyasachi saree! It's totally classy, elegant and so Sridevi, that its definitely one of my favourite outfits for the night. The choice of going for a neutral colour saree, means nothing is over-powering in this pic and she looks just as effective and impressive in something desirably simple. Paired with a nice pair of earrings, a chic clutch and some nice rosy lipstick, Sridevi has definitely nailed the look!

Deepika Padukone was another actress who never failed to impress her fans, as she showed off her long legs and magnificent physique in Naeem Khan's gown. She looked flawless, and everything from the choice of the outfit to her makeup suited Deepika extremely well. As there was quite a bit going on with the dress alone, Deepika chose to keep her hair up, and add a pair of simple earrings to compliment the overall look!

I'lleana D'Cruz, or better known as the 'Shruti' from Barfi, looked ever beautiful in a long black Christian Dior dress. I love the way the dress cinches around her waist, and the way in which hair and makeup are kept simple to let the dress do most of the talking! She is definitely a Bollywood star in the making, who has incredible presence wherever she goes. Great start to 2013 with the fashion sense I'lleana!

Esha Gupta opted for a long figure hugging gown dress designed by Christian Dior. Everything is so pure, elegant and pristine about this dress that I think it looks amazing on her. It's ever so effective, and the way in which the shoulders and collar have been designed work to show off the rest of Esha's figure. Definitely a 'hot' red carpet choice.

The misses...

Sophia Choudry donned a strapless gown for the night, which sadly did no justice to her figure. Designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock, the plain and not so eye-catching dress only made Sophia look considerably bland! Although her makeup and hair, on the other hand, still looks somewhat presentable the dress was undoubtedly one of the misses at the award night!

I haven't the faintest idea in the world why Genelia D'Cruz would choose a dress that doesn't look fitting for the event or her figure! Designed by one of my favourite designers Neeta Lulla, the dress sadly fails to impress me! It's not a particular favourite for an award function, and unfortunately makes Genelia look abit lost in it all. With this, her hair is also looking ever so awful, and only makes her appear less attractive!

It's true that many of us are pretty much used to the idea of seeing Vidya Balan wrapped in a traditional silk saree, but the newly wedded actress still hasn't mastered the art of choosing the ideal saree for such a star studded event. It's simply plain, boring and ever so regular that she needs some much needed embellishments to sparkle up the outfit. I know Vidya loves carrying off her signature style, however, is there really may harm in trying something different?

Karisma Kapoor dressed in a mid length dress by Christian Dior, manages to pick up the irrelevant sort of dress for a star studded night! Going for a smart striped aubergine colour dress, nothing looks so flattering or exciting about her look overall. I do on the other hand think her makeup looks lovely, but if only she went for more of a glamorous dress, this wouldn't be another terrible 'miss'!

Rather than looking as if she is attending an award function, Malaika Arora Khan opts for a Alice & Olivia dress looking as if she is going to a prom. There's no denying that she looks incredible for her age, but wearing a one shoulder fairy-like dress does not quite match her sense of style! Moreover, going for a pair of black de-glamorised peep toe sandals is a total mismatch. Definitely not a fan of these!

Which of these ladies do you think looked their best at the Zee Cine Awards 2013? Is there anything you'd love to wear at such an event?
