Front cover magazine reviews- Christmas 2012

It's the time of the year that we are all counting down the days to Christmas, and us ladies are in need of some much needed Xmas inspiration in the fashion department! Whether its for a glam night out or Christmas get together, you want to look your best...and you may just end up turning to the world of glamour that celebrities are endorsing on this months magazine front covers! This years Christmas is all about looking sophisticated and chic, without over doing it! Simplicity is key, so lets see which of the ladies in B-Town graced the front covers with the perfect Christmas look!

First up, for Harpers Bazaar we have the very fashionable and beautiful Kangana Ranaut gracing the front cover in a fabulously embellished deep purple slim-fit cardigan. I love the choice of colour here, as dark shades of aubergine and purple are perfectly different for the festive season. Whilst there is quite a bit of spark in the outfit, the makeup and jewellery is left minimal- with a hint of colour on the eyes with nude lips. She looks absolutely stunning here and I think it's quite a good choice of an outfit for an evening party. With her hair styled even bigger than usual, with curls nested onto her forehead Kangana has overall nailed this very chic and sensual Christmas look!

Here we have the Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez on the front cover of L'Officiel magazine. Sporting a plain blue shoulder padded dress, I have to be honest and say Jacqueline isn't looking her best here. With Christmas around the corner, the front cover looks more like its endorsing a holiday get away to sunny Spain! With a sea view background, we have Jacqueline dressed in a knee length slit dress, which almost looks as if she off to work too. The dark smoky eyes also don't fit into the overall look very well, and therefore I can't possibly go for this look for any Xmas do!

The very hot and happening Priyanka Chopra is endorsing the front cover for the one and only GQ magazine, and I must say she has nailed the rock-chick look perfectly! With her big voluminous hair and fitted black lace corset, she looks ready to party this Christmas away. It's a simple look, but a corset is always perfect for a night out, and with the added details of lace, it can also be worn out for a sophisticated get together too. With absolutely no jewellery necessary, her look is completed with minimalistic makeup that is so sensual and so simple! With a little mascara on the eyes and bronzer to define the cheeks, she makes this Christmas look a winter warming treat for girls like me! If you have layers and bangs in your hair, simply blow dry you hair and straighten the ends of your hair, keeping in mind the hair must be left naturally big! Wow!

This months Hello Magazine is graced by the fashion icon herself, Sonam Kapoor. The edition is about endorsing the luxury look, which explains why Sonam is adorned in a silk slim line gown-dress. But, my question is, why is everything so red? Almost every other Christmas, Red is a hit and the return of the red colour yearly, leaves me wanting something different! Going for something out of the ordinary is a positive and much needed change in today's fashion, so I am sorry to say Sonam's look is not quite a winner this time round! Looking luxurious does not mean wearing red girls so try mixing up things a little, and wear colours such as purples, browns, golds and creams- just as luxurious and so sexy this Christmas! The make up here is also rather overdone, with tainted red lips her look looks over dramatised and so unnatural! Sorry Sonam.

The new girl in Bollywood- Alia Bhatt has made it to the front cover of the very festive Grazia magazine. Wearing a cream colour fairy tale style gown, Alia is looking phenomenal! Everything is so celebratory about this front cover, and if your looking to go out for a Christmas masquerade ball or other formal dressed event than this is a look you should definitely try this Christmas. Whilst you have a big quirky style dress, go for the simple hair look to give more emphasis on the outfit. Here, Alia's hair is tied right back into a sleek bun, and all you can see is her pretty face! Jazz up the eyes a little to divert attention away from light colours, but keep the lips nude, and let your simplicity glow through! After all, the natural you is a winner all the way, and so is this look!
