The worst films from Bollywood 2012

The Worst...

It's been quite a year in tinsel town, and despite some major 100 crore box office successes Bollywood has also been suspect to some major flops! Undoubtedly there's been more than 10 film disasters that made it to the big screen, but here's the worst of them that made it here. Of course, this is subject to my own opinion, however, with some explanation provided below it's safe to say they were total disappointments!

1. Aiyyaa (2012)

There's no denying that Rani Mukherji is one of the best female actresses of the fraternity, but I couldn't say the same for her in this year- Aiyyaa. With one of the most tedious story lines, erotic dance scenes throughout, and too much over-acting by Mukherji herself, the film overall was by far one of the worst films of 2012, and worst performance by Mukherji.

2. Khiladi 786 (2012)

Khiladi 786 was expected to be the film in which Akshay returned as the ultimate Action hero of Bollywood, but sadly, ever so sadly it failed miserably! His acting was merely average alongside Asin and Himesh Reshammiya, and the awful songs that would pop up every so often would leave me wanting to leave the movies before the film was even over! Never again, a total time waster!

3. Ek Deewana Tha (2012)

A typical Bollywood flick that does nothing to keep you entertained! A love story in which Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson seem to share little onscreen chemistry, and audiences like myself are left waiting for a romance to unfold! With no real flavour, no great acting skills and mediocre storyline, the film is another flop of 2012. Next time, leave the romance to the actors whose forte this is guys!

4. Chaar Din Ki Chandni (2012)

I've never really been a fan of Tusshar Kapoor's acting, and yet again he is back with another abysmal of acting performance in this years Char Din Ki Chandni! As much as this film attempts to make you laugh, you are left saddened by the disappointing storyline and foolish acting. Totally not worth the watch again!

5. Dangerous Ishhq (2012)

I admire Karisma Kapoor's comeback in this film after so many years, but had she chosen to be a part of a film that didn't have the most absurd story lines, than it may have just worked in her favour. Unfortunately, Dangerous Isshq was the film to launch Karisma's comeback, which was sadly a failure at the box office. With a story spanning across 4 centuries, you begin to start feeling bored after an hours watch of the film!

Joker (2012)

Amongst many of Akshay Kumar film disappointments this year, I couldn't help but add another of his films to my list! Joker was another 2012 release that intended to be a science fiction comedy that ended up failing to entertain me to the slightest. The use of aliens and other weird creatures, leave the story lacking any real meaning! They may as well not have bothered with this film at all!

As much as I have heavily criticised and pointed out why some of these films were the worst of the year, it's safe to say that I also have some positive feedback for the best movies of 2012 too. Don't forget to check out my next post about my favourite films to watch for 2012!
