My recent debate of whether the peplum is a hit or miss, has been bought to much attention with ASOS on Twitter. My views are totally my own, and my thoughts are that the peplum doesn't seem to have the same appeal it originally had. This is totally subjective, but I do think its time something new was introduced to bring about a much needed change in todays fashion. Indeed it's an ongoing hit across retail stores and online, but I suggested it was a style that almost every celebrity carried, which looks quite boring and somewhat out-dated!
ASOS believe the peplum is still an important and much needed trend of today, but changes in their designs make peplums still the perfect buy! ASOS online have some cutting edge and differentiating designs incorporated into the plain peplum, and I do think the new twist added to the old makes the peplum somewhat more appealing.
The style of the outfit remains pretty much the same, but with added embellishments the peplum can be given a new look, which most celebs and fashion enthusiasts should be endorsing today!!
This body hugging red peplum dress, with a cut-out design on the waist adds a beautiful new twist to the conventional peplum, and looks so much more fun and sexy! The deep low neck-line with mesh net also adds some definition to the outfit as a whole. So ladies, don't go out plain and boring- go for something with a little more panache to it!
