Actresses across both Hollywood and Bollywood are seen dressed in peplum style dresses and tops on various occasions, and even though the trends been around for over a year now the peplum remains a favourable style that many celebrities continue to endorse. It's not out of fashion, and is still an increasingly popular across retail stores, however, is it not getting a little repetitive and boring?
When H&M, Topshop and River Island all bought in the rage of the peplum trend early last year, you could see why they were a great hit worldwide. The way in which the style of this outfit accentuated the waist and incorporated clean-cut flares and frills midway, meant it was the perfect style to wear on a casual basis with a pair of jeans, or in a sophisticated manner for an evening-do! It was the perfect style for a long time, but the fact it's still very much the in thing suggests there isn't anything that stands-out a year on!!
On my recent shopping trip, regular retail shops are still selling the Peplum, like its never been seen before, and I must say I'm getting rather bored of this look endorsed by almost every celebrity! As much as the peplum was a huge fashion hit for a long period of time, I'm afraid to say it no longer is!
Out with the old, and in with the new!
